Travel Diary: Day 2

7:00am at the Marriott Waikoloa lobby, having my morning Kona coffee

The lobby of Marriott Waikoloa was very spacious. The furniture and decor were very modern

Steam vents: the hot steamy air coming from the vents was very much needed that day because of the cold, foggy weather up in Kilauea

My sad face because of the foggy weather, we could not see the crater at all...

We came across this huge spider web during our hike to the lava tube

Hawaiian "Nene" goose: According to my research, it is the sixth most endangered waterfowl species worldwide. We kept seeing signs all over the islands that they could be crossing the roads and should be careful when driving. I was of course curious and you have no idea how excited I was when we spotted two of them.

I absolutely love this picture. The sun setting in the background was stunning
