I feel guilty. I am guilty of not updating my blog more often. It's just that school has been my priority this past months and I've been crazy busy. Anyway, I recently celebrated my birthday and since my friends and family knows me very well, they gifted me with amazing things from ZARA. I felt like I was on top of the world when I received all these amazing gifts. Well, school will be over in a couple of weeks but I will be travelling for Christmas which will keep me busy again but I promise to post pictures while travelling to keep you guys updated. Btw, the red studded flats from ZARA that I am wearing in this post is already out of stock but feel free to go to their website to find one that is similar.

Brighter Days

I think that there is nothing better than crochet top on a very sunny day. In Hawaii, you can never fail to wear something like this because it's sunny almost throughout the year. When pairing your top with a patterned bottom, you can always look for the most similar color in your patterned bottom to the top. In my outfit, it's the yellow that stands out in this pair of shorts. Also, I decided to wear a pair of nude heels  because it feels like I am wearing enough colors.

FLOWY and pleated skirts  are must have in your closet this summer. Although, I have to admit that I feel more comfortable wearing simple shorts and denim but I could not resist buying this skirt from Bebe. I normally don't buy clothes from Bebe because I am always afraid to try clothes that are out of my comfort zone but I was amazed how some of the clothes are so my style. I found this skirt, which was a complete bargain.

I know that I've said it many times but I will say it again. The weather in Hawaii right now is  very humid. This casual outfit is probably one of the most comfortable when dealing with the humidity outside. Also, I love wearing multiple colors in one outfit because it just gives me more energy and colors generally makes me happy.

The night before I posted this outfit on my blog, I was watching Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. The character Madame Simza Heron, the fortune teller looking for her brother is portrayed by no other than Noomi Rapace. She is a Swedish actress and is also known for portraying Lisbeth Salander in the film adaptations of the series The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Anyway, her character in Sherlock Holmes is a gypsy and so I decided that I would put this outfit together which is inspired by her character in the movie. I barely wear hats and definitely not ankle boots in Hawaii because it is very humid but to me, wearing clothes to create a character is fun even though it is out of my comfort zone.

When a friend of mine gave this dress to me, I fell inlove. This dress is a mix of a greek goddess and a sexy sophisticated rolled into one. As you can see, in this picture I decided to go completely barefoot because I wanted you to see how special the dress really is.
